CONTENT PRODUCTION

VISION AND CONCEPT

We’re lowkey obsessed with Popeyes UK and while on a Popeyes road trip, we got inspired to create a visually striking photoshoot that highlights Popeyes' signature fried chicken in a way that resonates with Gen Z consumers.

Our inspiration — delicious, bold, and Instagram-worthy. The aim was for the food to "jump out" from the images, making them irresistible while keeping the content on-brand with Popeyes' signature bold colors and personality.

Who we wanted to target with this concept, Gen Z consumers (18-25), known for being highly visual, trend-conscious, and social media-focused.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

Mood & Colour Palette: We wanted to focus was on using Popeyes signature bright oranges, reds and yellows to evoke the warmth and deliciousness of the food. We wanted a vibrant and lively atmosphere, keeping in line with their brand identity, but with a Gen Z twist.

Concept: High-contrast, close-up food shots with dynamic angles, complemented by quirky, fun elements in the background to keep the focus on the food while evoking feelings of fun and indulgence.

EDITING STYLE, BOLDNESS OF COLOURS, SHARPENED FOCUS

PRE-PRODUCTION

Storyboarding: We developed mood and storyboards focusing on the hero products (e.g., chicken sandwich, fries, and sauces), ensuring a balance between branding and appetising visuals.

Props & styling:

  • Use of warm, vibrant props that enhance the color palette without detracting from the food.

  • Minimalistic and trendy food styling to make the dishes appear fresh, indulgent, and on-brand.

  • Branded packaging (boxes, bags) strategically placed within the shots to maintain brand awareness.

Below are some of final images we produced. We feel we captured the vibrant, bold aesthetic that appeals to Gen Z, while showcasing the food in a mouth-watering, irresistibly delicious way. The photos are dynamic, with a sense of fun and excitement, successfully aligning with Popeyes' playful brand tone. We feel we captured the brand in a a way that would resonate with the intended audience. It’s visually in sync with Popeyes overall brand identity, bringing the food to life.
